Titans Season 2: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Bruce Wayne'

Downs...

2. Lack Of Purpose For The New Titans

Considering that 'Bruce Wayne' spent much of its time focused on the character interactions in Titans Tower, it was hard not to notice the distinct lack of the young characters. While Kory/Starfire was clearly busy attempting to heal Conner, it was Rachel/Raven and Gar/Beast Boy that felt completely lost of any kind of purpose.

Rachel didn't appear until halfway through the episode, and when she did, she was merely there as a plot device (as she either showed up to help Kory with Conner or to be another person having a go at Jason). And Gar? Well, he only showed up to open doors... literally.

Though the absence or lack of the new Titans isn't recommended, it's more than understandable in certain circumstances (remember 'Aqualad'?), but with all that was happening between the old Titans, the fact that Jason had almost died and Superboy's dramatic arrival, you would have expected them to be a little more involved.
