12. ABQ (Season 2, Episode 13)
Werent we here a minute ago? As strong as this episodes direct continuation was, the sheer shocks and revelations make this a far richer and more thrilling episode for the viewer. Not only does Skyler realise the full extent of Walts secret activities, but we finally discover what those mysterious clips with a one-eyed pink Teddy were all about. One of the reasons Breaking Bad is just so damn good is because of how unpredictable everything can be, but once you witness such cataclysmic events as the collision of Wayfarer 515 and a chartered plane, it all makes sense that this was written in the stars from the beginning. Granted, the plotting for this seasons arc was more intricate than any other, but its still thrilling to see. How surreal is it to see lowly meth cook Walter, complete with goatee and pink sweater, witness a mid-air disaster right above his pool? Be honest, who the hell saw that coming? Also, there is the fact that Walt takes Donald Margolis words to heart, and saves Jesse from his own grief-induced destruction in a drug den. Despite his descent from being good man, at this point Walt is still a kind man, and whatever he did or is yet to do to Jesse, he does save him from himself, and forces him to get clean by taking him to rehab. Its a moment you recall whenever the two come to blows or screw the other over.
