20. Family Guy A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas (FOX, 2001)
The stress of Christmas finally pushes Lois over the edge, causing her to go on an anti-Yuletide rampage. Back in the days before I personally think
Family Guy lost its way (Around Season 6), it got its first Christmas episode towards the end of Season Three. There are some good jokes based around the hell of Christmas shopping, Peters stupidity, and one about a
very disturbing use for a video recorder. One of the episodes biggest strengths is how well everythings tied together. The subplot of Stewie attempting to appease Santa and get some plutonium for Christmas is skilfully weaved into the main story and nothing feels like too much of a non-sequitur. As well as that, the cutaways are limited and always relevant. There are no This is worse than that time when (Insert joke here) gags which means that the episode never strays far from its premise. Its focussed, has a relatively fresh story, and is good slightly off-colour fun.
Best Moment: Loiss rampage including her pushing George Bailey (the main character of
Its A Wonderful Life) off a bridge and melting Frosty the Snowman.
