4. George Louis Costanza - Seinfeld
You can call me biased if you want to but no one can deny the power that is George Louis Costanza. As stated in my previous article (cheap plug) George Costanza is one of the greatest TV characters of all time. More then holding his own against any other character of the decade or of all time for that matter. George is the neurotic, shallow, paranoid, cheap, lying, slow witted bald man who plays Jerry's best friend in the amazing show Seinfeld. He can often be seen caught in the middle of ridiculous scenarios or his own equally as ridiculous schemes. George's hilarious, short tempered nature can easily put a smile on your face at a moments notice. There are sooo many "George moments" that it's impossible to pick just one out of the bunch. With that being said, if that's not the mark of a great character then I don't know what is. We all owe a debt of gratitude for the great memories that Mr. George Costanza has provided us. Thanks Goergie-boy.
3. Will Smith - The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The man on this list that is by far the biggest superstar today is Will Smith. He was the break out star of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which ran from 1990-1996. Born and raised in west Philadephia, the playground is where he spent most of his days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool and shooting some b-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good, started making trouble in the neighborhood. He got in one little fight and his mom got scared and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." From that, the Fresh Prince was born. Sound familiar? It should, I pretty much just plagiarized the theme song. Now Will was a funny, charismatic jokster who always loved having a good time. He loved driving his Uncle Phil nuts and picking on his cousin Carlton. Will had a good heart though with generally good intentions but he often found himself at the mercy of Uncle Phil's rampages. They didn't always see eye to eye but Will loved his family and always wanted to do right by them. He never took anything too seriously which played off of Carlton's character perfectly. The two of them may have only been cousins but they acted like brothers. Looking out for each other whenever need be (like when Will took a bullet for Carlton). The show just clicked and everything they did seemed to work. Whether they were covering a serious topic or just trying to having a party, everything just flowed perfectly. Will was a great character that helped launch his career into super stardom. Without The Fresh Prince there would be no superstar Will Smith and without The Fresh Prince, we would've missed out on some great TV. He's definitely the one character on this list that you don't have ask yourself, "I wonder what he's doing now?" The answer is simple, he's doing everything.
