Top 50 Iconic TV Characters of the 90s

1. Zack Morris - Saved by the Bell

4csognuu29wx2xm7dz64 Let the debating begin! Why is Zack Morris #1? I think his track record speaks for itself. Zack was the star of the most popular show in the 90's (amongst teenagers) and quite frankly Zack was the man. He was the conniving, smart, clever, scheming, charming, smooth talking and not to mention the most popular kid at Bayside High. Oh by the way, he also goes on to marry Kelly Kapowski. Should I continue? This is the first show that I can remember where they broke down the fourth wall by having Zack say "time-out" and talk directly into the camera as if he were talking to us at home. It was a pretty cool added dimension that made the audience feel more involved in the show. Zack may have been always out to make a quick buck by constantly devising get rich quick schemes but under all of his self centered, narcissistic, ego driven personality he really was a good guy and for the most part a loyal friend. Although if you asked his principal Mr. Belding he'd probably have a different perspective on things considering Zack got called into Principal's office more times any student ever has, EVER. Zack Morris was such a cool character that I even watched the embarrassment that was The College Years just because he was on it. Now that's saying something! Zack Morris will forever go down in TV history as the hero of my youth, and maybe yours too.. Alright folks, that's all she wrote. I'd love to hear your criticism on what I did wrong and who should've made the list that didn't and who didn't deserve to make the cut. Don't be too harsh though, I'm sensitive...
