1. Omar Little
You knew it was coming. Omar Little has become an iconic character for The Wire and for HBO, and hell for fiction. Omar lived his life robbing and ripping off drug dealers with his shotgun and band of merry robbers. Man had his code though, he never killed a civilian. Whenever he was onscreen the show was at it's best- we loved to hear those street kids call out "It's Omar! It's Omar!" Omar was more than shotguns though, he was a deep man who lost his love, Brandon. Fueled by desire to change the game, he was never ignorant to the fact that the game doesn't really change. And like every piece of the chess set, we all meet our fate. Through five seasons of The Wire, we watched Omar rip off armed gang members, no matter how many there were, but his ultimate fate rested at the hands of a very little boy, whose life is no doubt going to be lived out playing the game. "You come at the king you best not miss" Rest in peace, King Omar.
