Trailer: HBO's BOARDWALK EMPIRE

Boasting motion picture quality photography, set design, direction, and talent; HBO's forthcoming prohibition gangster series Boardwalk Empire has as much buzz as any mini-series I can remember seeing in a long time. Even more so than The Pacific, I'd say, which can no longer dubbed the t.v. event of the year. New York Magazine have released a third promo for the show, presumably shots from the Martin Scorsese directed, Soprano'sTerence Winter written pilot which gives us a great look at lead Steve Buscemi as Nucky Thompson. He is the ruler of Atlantic City, half politican/half gangster - making his city the center for booze, gambling and prostitution during prohibition. Busemci nails the trailer with a composed but typically slimy performance and it's so nice to see him make the transition from supporting to lead here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StkrCTZPS-c Premiering in the fall with 12 episodes, Boardwalk Empire features Michael Shannon, Gretchen Mol, Kelly Macdonald, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Pitt and more.
