1. Getting A Lift To The Pub
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDg9q0Af6zw From the first part of the final trilogy, If They Could See Us Now, really this scene is two excellent Trigger moments in one. Firstly, there's the terrific exchange between him and Rodney about why he's even in the flat - getting a lift to the pub from Del even though he had to walk past the pub to get to Del's ("Yeah... but Del said he'd give me a lift"). Then we get Rodney introducing Trig to Mozart, who has a hard time getting his head around the fact there's no words - informing Del that it's "the karaoke version." This scene also subtly highlights another point about character development in OFAH. By this point in the show's run, the Trotters had each fallen in love, got married, started families, gained a fortune and then lost that fortune - they had clearly changed as people and this is a major part of why they feel more 'real' than many other sitcom characters. Yet Trigger is the same man he was in the very first episode - there's something strangely comforting about that. Like this article? Were you a big fan of Trigger? Want to pay tribute to Lloyd Pack?
