True Blood: 6 Unholy Questions About Season 6

3. What Will Become Of Bill?

StephenMoyer4 The character of Bill Compton has seen many twists and turns since his one dimensional debut in the very first episode of True Blood. Bill once seemed to only serve the purpose of a lovesick puppy who would dedicate his life (or is it afterlife? I never know with vampires) to protecting Sookie. It was later revealed that he was using her for political gain. Certainly it is hard to deny that Bill loved Sookie with all of his soul (or lack thereof) but he seems to have walked a very different path in the last few seasons. Starting in season 4 when Bill was named a vampire king he quickly began his ascent up the ranks of vampire politics. Season 5 saw him become a member of the vampire authority which before last season seemed like only a myth to viewers of the show. Frolicking about with violent vampires and drinking the blood of their savage god Lillith proved to be very dangerous for Bill. By the end of season 5 Bill had become drunk with power. Lillith came to Bill and convinced him to drink all of her blood by seducing him with even more power than he already had. If you follow the show you will know that upon drinking the blood of Lillith Bill then transformed into a gooey puddle of blood himself. After mere seconds Bill's body took a form similar to that of Lillith's as he appeared nude and covered in blood. What does this mean? Is Bill some sort of god now? What is the limit of Bill's newfound power? What will he do with it? There are many questions to be asked about this central character and it will be interesting to see where Bill goes from here as he has hurt everyone who once cared for him. It seems that as far as the vampire chain of command goes Bill has reached the top which means the only way to go is down. It leaves many wondering what will become of Bill?
