As you'd expect, HBO aren't giving too much away ahead of the game, but they have released a few tidbits to clue us in on what to expect when Season 3 begins.

Taking place in the Ozarks - the show was filmed in, and is at least partially set in, Arkansas, where Pizzolatto went to college - the story centres on Hays (Ali) and West (Dorff) as they investigate a macabre crime involving the disappearance of two children.

The story will force the detectives to look into the past and, as you'd expect from True Detective, won't just be a straightforward murder mystery.
