Twin Peaks: 10 Characters That Must Return For Season 3

Grab your tape recorder and order another slice of cherry pie.

In 2016, get ready to head back to a little town in Washington where the owls aren't what they seem, and where a fresh pot of damn good coffee is somehow always available. In October, the co-creators of Twin Peaks, David Lynch and Mark Frost, announced that Showtime will be picking up the long thought dead cult phenomenon for nine more episodes. That gum you like is about to come back in style. Somehow, someway, Laura Palmer was right when she told Special Agent Dale Cooper she€™d see him again in 25 years. The last the world saw anything Twin Peaks related was the 1992 feature film Fire Walk With Me. It seemed impossible that any of the myriad of storylines would ever be wrapped up (or wrapped in plastic) again. Fans were left to debate and imagine the possibilities among themselves. Yet here we are. So now that we€™re headed back, you have to wonder what characters will be coming along for the ride. There are so many strange and wonderful citizens of Twin Peaks, that it would be great if the entire gang returned. Unfortunately, 25 years is a long time and not everyone is still alive. The actors behind Bob, Andrew Packard, Major Briggs, and Pete have all passed on to that great White Lodge in the sky. Luckily, most of the key cast is still with us, and hopefully up for more. Some characters may not need to come back (let€™s just say if Nadine decided to leave Twin Peaks after she found out about Ed and Norma, and James decided to stay in Mexico fans'd be okay). But which 10 characters need catching up with the most? Grab your tape recorder, order a second serving of cherry pie, and let's find out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
