Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2: 6 Things You Need To Know

5. The Dong Stuff Is Annoying

Last season saw Kimmy begin a relationship with Dong, a fellow student from her GED class. Although Logan obviously wasn't the sort of person she should be dating, and Dong was easily a better choice, it doesn't make him a good choice.

I wasn't really a fan of him in the first season, but I could buy the way their relationship developed. However, with him marrying Sonya at the end of last season, in order to stay in the country, that could and perhaps should have been the end of it.

Instead, the series has seemed to double down on the idea of Kimmy and Dong, except now she's the one doing all of the chasing. That may be saying something about her character, who after being locked in a bunker for 15 years hasn't really known love or been in relationships, but it still doesn't feel like the best move for the show or the character.

The biggest problem is that it feels like a decidedly 'un-Kimmy' thing to do, and I don't think the pair work particularly well together. When Ellie Kemper is sharing the screen with any of her other co-stars it sizzles; with Ki Hong Lee it fizzles out.

Dong is a bit of a d*ck. I'm totally done with this tail. Kimmy can definitely do better in her search for happenis. (Sorry.)
