4. Bjorn Ironside - The Conqueror Of Paris!
Ragnar in the show took a lot of credit for accomplishments of other Vikings, in this case the siege and sack of Paris really belonged to his son Bjorn Ironside, and most things happened just as shown in the series.
Bjorn had his men carry ships over a mountain to avoid a blockade on the river and ultimately the French paid one of the first forms of Danegeld, a huge sum of money to make the Vikings go away.
It’s kind of cool to imagine Bjorn doing all this instead of a drugged-up Ragnar.
