While History Channel’s Vikings won so much praise and plaudits for its storytelling, its character arcs, and for its core performances, one thing that the show also had plenty of was good old-fashioned murder.
To count up the amount of dead bodies that Vikings served up across its six seasons would be an impossible task, with barely five minutes of screen time going by without a death happening. And it wasn’t just the minor characters and supporting players who were killed off with alarming frequency, for Vikings was never shy about killing off its major characters, too – meaning all bets were off when watching the series.
By its very nature, Vikings was always going to be a show with a strong element of chaos and carnage dotted throughout it, and that was very much the case.
