The Walking Dead: 10 Ways To Make The Show Great Again

9. Let€™s See Some Really Big Walkers

Is it me, or do all the walkers on the show seem like emaciated, frail pushovers? Where are all the big walkers? Where are all the ex-NFL players? The towering basketball players? The really big people we see all the time? In real life, every day, we see much taller and stronger and bigger people pass us by, making us want to grab the nearest regular-sized person and scream, €œLook at how huge that guy is!€ Apparently, these people don€™t exist in the world of The Walking Dead. But they should. This would not only help recreate our fear of walkers, but it could also produce some truly hair-raising moments on the show. Imagine Carl hiding in a closet from towering, giant walkers. Imagine Rick cornered by walkers that used to play football. Imagine any character without a gun surrounded by huge walkers, and you get the idea. Suddenly, not only is the threat real, but it€™s also a much closer reflection of what the real apocalypse would look like. Not all humans are old and frail, or simply average sized with little muscle tone. And walkers shouldn€™t be confined to such ridiculous standards either. So let€™s see some bigger walkers, and let€™s put them in situations that make them threatening. Let€™s see Carl try to go it alone against a horde of Atlanta Hawks walkers. Speaking of Carl, I have some thoughts there too.
