The stark, gritty Georgia depicted in AMCs hit television series can at times be so absorbing that you forget youre watching a TV show. This is the secret to The Walking Deads success its believability makes the jump-scares more terrifying, the deaths more tragic and the drama more riveting. The Walking Dead can be so engrossing that it is shocking when you see its characters in other roles in different television shows and films. We forget that the survivors we are so anxiously watching each week are actors with established careers in performing whatever role is required of them, and for some reason act astounded when we see them in something else. In many cases we see elements of the role we have come to know in The Walking Dead appear in their other performances while in other cases the preceding role can be so different from the survivor they play that its highly comical. Perhaps we shouldnt be so attached to the characters of The Walking Dead though recent interviews with the shows creators have revealed that the show will follow the example of the comic books with all the central characters eventually biting the dust to be replaced with a new cast.
