Probably one of the most subtle walkers in the show, but undoubtedly a popular one amongst zombie fans was the plaid shirt-wearing shuffler that appeared very briefly in the penultimate episode of the third season. It is more or less the exact same zombie which appears in George A. Romero's classic Dawn Of The Dead, obviously a nod to the king of the zombie genre, particularly as Greg Nicotero - director of the episode - had also worked on the movie. Mind you, the less said about the fact that Romero apparently thinks the show is a "soap with an occasional zombie" the better.
10. Mud Walker
Opinions can vary on Meghan's walker, some call it too much of a cliche to have a zombie hand claw up through the dirt to snatch at their victim, where others enjoyed a somewhat classic feel to this walker. What's more, not only did the thing look horrifying, but it killed off a character who was vital in keeping the Governor vaguely sane. Once Meghan had gone, we were gifted a full-on crazy Gov. So thank you, mud walker.
