The Walking Dead 5.4 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Slabtown"

1. Carol's At The Hospital

As the show drew to a close, we get a shot of Carol being wheeled into the hospital on a gurney, seemingly injured and disoriented. Knowing the sheer unstoppable force that is Carol, it€™s terrifying to think what it took to leave her in an incapacitated state. After all, this is no meek female, this is the f*cking Terminator. And when she gets her wits about her, there€™s no way she€™s going to be sticking around that hospital. This isn€™t sweet little Beth we€™re talking about here. Carol snacks on danger and dines on death, and if Dawn and her crew think they€™re keeping her there to change bedpans against her will they€™re in for a rude awakening. The cliffhanger from the previous episode has now become a little more clear, as it seems that Noah is the one hiding in the woods behind Daryl (although it could also be Morgan), and that will lead to the group focusing their efforts on undertaking a rescue mission to free Carol and Beth. The end was the only positive aspect of a dreary episode that did nothing but halt all the momentum the series had built up thus far in season five. Judging from the previews there doesn€™t appear to be any resolution next week, as that looks to be an episode focused on Abraham and the group headed for Washington. Hopefully things get back on track quickly because this storyline needs to die a quick and brutal death. What did you think of €œSlabtown€? Sound off in the comments below.
