The Walking Dead 5.7 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Crossed"

5. Planning The Rescue Mission

Early in the episode there's a scene where Rick, Daryl, Tyreese and Sasha plan the attack on the prison and how they're going to go about retrieving Carol and Beth. Rick - who has zero f*cks left to give - suggests an all-out ninja stealth assault complete with darkness and throat-slitting. Nanny Tyreese thinks the plan is too dangerous (aka he's scared to harm people) and suggests they pull off a hostage exchange. Daryl, who's been softening up a bit himself lately, sides with Tyreese and they plot a way to snag some of the Grady cops that they can offer to Dawn in exchange for the return of their friends. Noah seems to think this idea will work as well and the plan it set. It's surprising that they would take a snugglebear like Tyreese on this mission rather than Michonne who has more than proven her worth in combat, so there's definitely going to be a reason for that. Whether it was just so Sasha and Tyreese could have some time to talk through her issues or there's more still to happen, remains to be seen.
