The Walking Dead: 6 Things That "Alone" Did Right (And 3 It Didn't)

1. Contrived Action Sequence

As amazing as was Maggie's and Sasha's back-to-back zombie battle in the ghost town, there's no denying that it did not have the most organic setup. After Sasha decides that she will remain in one of the abandoned buildings and allow Bob to continue pursuing Maggie on his own, she climbs to the top floor of her new fortress of solitude and surveys the surrounding area. To her surprise, she's sees Maggie's body lying motionless in the street, looking very dead. When Sasha accidentally pushes a loose pane of glass from the window as she tries to get a closer look, Maggie...just sits up, 100% alive and uninjured. Okay. It's a rather questionable turn of events. Still, on first viewing, there wasn't really time to do any questioning. Alerted by the crashing windowpane, Walkers appear out of nowhere and begin to stagger toward the exposed Maggie. Sasha races out, and the awesome girl power killing spree of 2014 ensues. Basically, it's a great action sequence set into motion by a distractingly contrived circumstance.
