The Walking Dead: 6 Things That "Us" Did Right (And 3 It Didn't)

1. Lack Of Caution

While Daryl's storyline suffered the most from the pacing problems of the episode, the overall lack of caution showed by several of the characters was probably the most frustrating. Daryl and Rick escaped the insensibility for the most part, but Maggie and Glenn were so needlessly reckless that their reunion was somewhat tainted. As desperate as they were to find one another, neither should have been in the least bit willing to enter the dark tunnel of death that ran over a long stretch of the railroad. It was a downright shame that Maggie's message directing Glenn to Terminus did not have a postscript telling him that she, Sasha, and Bob were going to take the day and go around. Maggie had no reason to be hasty, and Glenn only chose to pass through the tunnel because he knew he was gaining on his wife. Honestly, they were both present in the tombs on the day when Hershel was bitten and lost his leg, and the dim prison passages were brightly lit in comparison to the pitch black of the tunnel. Even worse was the group's arrival at Terminus. Maggie and Glenn had been kidnapped, tortured, and nearly executed at the Stepford community of Woodbury. Sasha had lived there and witnessed the Governor's psychopathy in action. They knew that there were people in the world whose invitations were less than altruistic, and the silence of Terminus €“ as well as the total lack of guards €“ should have set off some serious alarms for our merry band of survivors. Desperation is one thing; an unnecessary lack of caution is a different matter altogether.
