The Walking Dead: 7 Things That "A" Did Right (And 3 It Didn't)

1. Flashbacks

The flashbacks themselves weren't bad. We got to see all of the characters back together again at the intact prison, and Scott Wilson made a lovely reappearance as Hershel Greene. There was a sweet sort of nostalgia in the flashbacks, and they helped to fill in the gaps between the third and fourth seasons. They just didn't all really fit in with the episode. The scenes were certainly relevant, but some were more detrimental to the pacing than they were supplemental to the plot. The flashbacks could have been shorter or fewer without lessening the impact, and other aspects of the story could have benefited greatly from a little bit of that extra time.
