The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: 12 Big Questions That Need Answering
3. So, Who Is Going To Die?
It's a Walking Dead finale, of course someone is going to die. That much is pretty much guaranteed. But who? Given the show's fetishistic approach to making nobody safe, and reinforcing that idea by mercilessly killing off main characters, you can't really on typical sign-posts, but there are lots of them: The smart money is probably on Carol - in traditional terms, she probably deserves to die, given her story arc over the past season, but this is Walking Dead, and this probably counts for nothing. Superfluous characters like Tara might die - remember, she's currently injured - or Bob, who has found some happiness, and thus carries a Dead Meat sign now. Rick might even die, since Andrew Lincoln is scheduled to appear on the Talking Dead following the show. Or maybe even Carl - which would fill in the gap created by Robert Kirkman saying Rick will be pushed to his limit. And what about Michonne? She's a fan favourite, along with Daryl, so if you were gambling on an impact killing, it would be either the catana wielder or the arrow-shooter. Perhaps Michonne and Carl are killed when Joe's marauders catch up with Rick? Could Daryl heroically sacrifice himself saving Rick from the Claimers? It's not all that likely, but it's hard to imagine Daryl will still be affiliated with Joe's group by the end of the episode. Probably because some of that blood on Rick's face might well belong to Joe.
