6. Is Joe Behind Rick's Injuries?

The preview of the episode showed a battered and bloodied Rick, seemingly having been tortured or dragged through a fight that he nearly lost, and you immediately have to wonder who did it. The smart bet goes on Joe, whose Claimers have been on his tail for some time now, and who will no doubt catch up as soon as Rick and his fellow travellers become static at Terminus. That's when it's all going to go down for Rick - we might see deaths resulting from that sequence that completely change him, and the make-up of the show, so the cause of his bloodied face is a particularly intriguing question. It's also hard not to suspect that that bloodied shot of Rick isn't going to be one of the final shots of the episode: there's something very leading about it that suggests we will have seen something terrible, and will be left at that point to ponder the consequences.
