8. The Termites Are Cannibals
One of the most popular theories about the true nature of Terminus and its inhabitants has been that the advertised "Sanctuary For All" is actually an outpost for cannibals to lure in unsuspecting fresh meat. Although originally consisting of little more than vague suspicion, the cannibalism theory became awfully sound by the end of the Season 4 finale. After all, pits of eviscerated carcasses, train cars filled with screaming captives, a score of hipsters surviving on no apparent sustainable food source, and a kindly lady manning a grill covered with hefty slabs of mystery meat all serve to paint a bloody picture of the fate that befalls travelers to Terminus. The trailer even gives us a blurry shot of a man literally butchering another human being. Scary stuff, right? "Nothing was personal," says Gareth pleasantly, even as Termites in aprons prepare to slit our heroes' throats. "We're just super hungry and you guys have some tasty-looking muscle meat. Don't worry, we'll feed the womenfolk chunks of your charred corpses and let them kill Walkers for us." Okay, maybe not that last part. But seriously, do they only eat men?
