WandaVision: 10 Burning Questions After Episodes 1 & 2

8. Who Is Doing This To Wanda?

This is the question that Wanda has literally been asked herself, and so far there has been nothing resembling an answer. The prevailing theory before the show debuted was that this alternate reality would be Wanda's doing herself, but certain things throughout the first two episodes suggest this may not be the case.

She and Vision have no recollection of where they came from, when they got married, and what their story is. They are under the impression that this is their true reality, and aren't aware that Vision is actually dead. If Wanda was doing this herself, wouldn't she have at least some memory of her previous life? Could it be that someone else is playing with her mind?

Yet, at the end of episode two, Wanda sees what appears to be a SWORD agent infiltrate Westview through a manhole in the road. Unhappy with this development, she rewinds time several minutes in an attempt to undo his arrival. This would suggest that she does have at least some control over this reality, and simply doesn't want to be disturbed.

There are arguments for Wanda both being the instigator or the victim of whatever is happening in Westview, but it will surely be at least a few more episodes until this is confirmed for certain.
