WandaVision: 10 Things You Need To Know About The Disney+ TV Series
1. Sitcom Settings
This feature has alluded to WandaVision's sitcom setting a few times now, but what does that mean? Well, it's been theorised that a young Wanda and Pietro grew up in war-torn Sokovia with their only solace being reruns of American sitcoms, hence why this show appears to jump from decade to decade, with a new tone being established each time.
This is certainly a unique approach to storytelling, and explains why star Paul Bettany once described the show as being "f***ing bonkers." If Wanda has recreated The Vision, then common sense says she will soon have to come crashing back down to reality, and that's where things are likely to get really dangerous (likely explaining why she teams up with Doctor Strange).
Interestingly, the bottle of win spotted in the trailer has a label on it that essentially translates to "House of M." That's one heck on an Easter Egg, and as comic book fans will know, a reference to the world Wanda created in the comics which was ruled over by mutants. That changed not just a town, but the entire planet, leading fans to no doubt wonder whether a similar fate will befall the MCU.
