WandaVision Episode 8: 5 Biggest Talking Points

During one of the many flashback scenes in episode eight of WandaVision, Agatha Harkness reveals a key plot point to Wanda (and in turn, the viewers).

She tells Wanda about what she has been doing to the residents of Westview - including her brother. It becomes apparent that she has been controlling the speedster since he first arrived in Westview, using him to ask the tough questions and try to find out exactly how Wanda created this reality in the first place.

On the other hand, this fake version of Pietro (or Fietro) still has powers, similar to his original counterpart. This could signify that Harkness' rendition of Quicksilver may still be the true article, as he has his speedster abilities.

Although Agatha Harkness claims that Pietro is fake, it does not seem as though she as the ability to create superpowers for random members of the public.

Could he still be the version of Quicksilver that audiences know from the X-Men universe? Or was this ultimately just a nod from Marvel towards Fox's X-Men films?
