What If...? - 25 Biggest WTF Moments

Several beings are aware of the multiverse in the MCU. Wong and The Ancient One mentioned the concept way back in Doctor Strange, and the Sorcerer Supreme himself has spoken of it in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. However, there are few who can claim to have actually seen it.

The Watcher, Ultron, and Doctor Strange Supreme could all see through the multiverse, and once the Guardians of the Multiverse were formed, they were also transported to a strange new universe. When all was said and done however, while everyone was sent back to the moment and universe from which they were taken, Natasha Romanoff was sent somewhere else.

In her universe, Ultron had destroyed everything, and she was the only person left alive on the planet, while in episode three, the Watcher explored a universe in which the Avengers, including Natasha were killed. Instead of returning her home, he gave this version of Nick Fury a new Black Widow with which to fight against Loki.

Could this open the door for yet another Black Widow to return to the main MCU continuity? Scarlett Johansson has reportedly settled her differences with Disney, so moving forward, could the Watcher grant another new Natasha for the MCU’s live action universe? It may be a long shot, but it is at least now feasible from a storytelling standpoint.
