Geraldine Grundy is the elderly homeroom teacher at Riverdale High, with prominent gray hair and an old-timey fashion sense.

In The Show

In Riverdale, a much, much younger version of Geraldine Grundy is present. We learn that that is not her real name, as it was adopted following her moving to Riverdale to escape her abusive husband. (Her real name is Jennifer Gibson.) As the music teacher at Riverdale High, Grundy had a brief affair with Archie.

It's also worth mentioning that while Betty Cooper was digging up information on Grundy, she discovered an obituary of a woman with the same name who almost perfectly resembles the original comic book character.
