To many viewers, Two and a Half Men ended with Season 8, which marked Charlie Sheen's departure from the show following on from some extremely high-profile incidents relating to drugs and criticism of the show and its creator, Chuck Lorre. He was replaced by Ashton Kutcher for the following seasons, which somehow managed to make it all the way to number 12 without anyone realising or caring, although the show remained dogged by talk of a Sheen comeback, as well as controversy over Angus T. Jones' conversion to Christianity and public criticism of the show. Even the finale, which aired earlier this year, couldn't escape Sheen's shadow, as it revealed Charlie was still alive, only to have him shot from behind (as Sheen turned down the offer of a cameo) approaching the beach house and killed by a falling grand piano.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
