Can you believe it has been over 14 years since the first episode of The Big Bang Theory aired? Makes you feel old doesn't it?

When Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj and Howard first appeared, it was hard to see how a group of four nerds would become besties with the beautiful blonde next door. What came as more of a surprise however, is just how close Sheldon and Penny became. At first, Sheldon struggled to understand Penny's sarcasm and lack of responsibility, and Penny failed to understand half of what Sheldon was saying, although that could probably be said for most of us. They proved that opposites definitely do attract and became one of the most popular duos in television.
