There are friendly faces everywhere in South Park... but how many do you know?
Over 23 seasons and counting, South Park has taken the world by storm. Its colourful cast of crudely-drawn cartoon characters has expanded over the years at such a rate as to make the titular Colorado town feel like the centre of the universe.
With more celebrity appearances than a standard red carpet event, and an elementary school that somehow manages to accurately represent every teenage kid you ever knew (complete with outrageous potty mouths), it's easy to see the real world reflected in this two-dimensional town.
It's also fair to suggest that the mere mention of its characters will bring to mind an iconic quote; likely profanity-laced, probably suggestive, and almost certainly outrageous. The reverse is also true: read "I'm not fat, I'm festively plump" and it's hard not to immediately think of everyone's favourite tyrannical ten-year-old.
Of course, it's one thing to recognise the well-known main quartet and their trademark winter garb, and quite another to pick out any of the many supporting players in South Park's ever-growing gallery.
Yes, as a cartoon fan you might know your Cartmans from your Bartmans, but unless you're a seasoned South Park pro, there's no way you'll be able to name all of these "humble folks without temptation."
