Young Justice: Outsiders - 5 Ups & 2 Downs From The Midseason Premiere
1. The Artemis And Will Romance
Throughout the first half of the season, many eagle-eyed viewers sensed an undercurrent of chemistry between Artemis and Will (a.k.a. Roy Harper 2.0.) and, well, let's just say they weren't pleased.
Unfortunately, two of this week's three episodes practically confirmed that a romantic relationship between the pair may be on the cards. A series of long-lasting stares and the input of Artemis' mother revealed that, yes, these two are indeed destined for love and, in spite of the fact that they'd make a cute couple (not-to-mention amazing parents to Lian), it doesn't change the fact that it all feels rather forced.
Despite her unique love/hate relationship with Will/Roy in Season 1, Artemis was always destined to be with Wally (who fans are still hoping will return after his apparent death in Season 2) while Will himself had a much stronger relationship with Artemis' own sister (and Lian's mother) Jade.
Artemis and Will make a great team, and they are one amazing little family, but forcing them together like this was never going to work.
The fans want Wally back... they're not going to accept this, and in all honesty, it's easy to see why.
