Young Justice: Outsiders – 7 Major Questions After Episodes 4-6

1. Did Ra’s Al Ghul Resurrect Jason Todd?

Young Justice Nightwing Jason Todd
DC Universe

Despite only appearing in one of the three new episodes, Ra's Al Ghul seemed to be at the heart of most of this week's mysteries. Not only was he cryptic about his current lack of roles within The Light and The League of Shadows, he also failed to mention that his family had seemingly grown within the last two years.

Following the heroes' departure from Infinity Island, Talia emerged from the darkness to reveal a small child, likely to be Damien Wayne - the son of Batman. However, the bigger twist came when one of Ra's ninjas uttered the word "Grayson", clearly recognising Nightwing. This pleased Ra's, as he was glad to see that his henchman’s memory was returning.

While the unknown red-hooded ninja could be anybody at this stage, it's pretty clear that the likely candidate is Jason Todd. We know that the former Robin once existed in the Young Justice universe due to the fact that he was posthumously honoured by a holographic statue in the Watchtower. While this appears to confirm that he is dead, the character has a long history of overcoming death in the comics and could have easily done the same here.

However, this does leave us wondering if Ra's took it upon himself to resurrect Jason with the Lazarus Pit? Remember, he did speak about the Pit's attributes earlier in the episode, so this could have been a precursor to the reveal, reminding the viewers that resurrection is possible. But why did The Demon's Head resurrect him, and what kind of role will he play going forward?
