Young Justice: Outsiders - Everything We Know So Far

3. The Characters Have Matured (And So Will The Content)

Young Justice was never as kid-centric as something like Teen Titans Go!, but they still had to follow the rules and regulations of every other Cartoon Network show - giving them a smaller margin to flaunt their more mature storytelling.

Well, that's come to an end since it has been acknowledged by co-producer/writer Brandon Vietti that since they have moved onto a streaming platform, the writers will have "creative room to progress into more adult theme’s and storylines".

He also stated that there won’t be a drastic tonal shift into hard-R rated territory or anything (so don't expect Robin to drop any F-bombs), but it's still exciting to confirm the characters will evolve and thus allow the new season to stray further into mature territory.
