UFC: 5 MMA Power Couples Who Could Hold Titles Simultaneously
4. Gegard Mousasi And Cindy Dandois
Gegard Mousasi and Cindy Dandois are perhaps the most low-profile couple in mixed martial arts. Unlike other duos, they seldom share photo together on Instagram or other social media outlets. Outside of a few comments made in interviews, little is known about their relationship.
What we do know is that Gegard Mousasi is an outstanding fighter who currently competes in Bellator MMA's middleweight division. The 34-year-old recently lost his Bellator Middleweight World Championship to Rafael Lovato Jr., this past June in a competitive bout. He may get an immediate rematch. If not, as a former champ with plenty of name recognition, he's likely only a win away from another shot at the gold.
As for Cindy Dandois, her road to a winning a title isn't as straightforward. The talented grappler has competed in nearly every major organization, including the UFC, Bellator, and Rizin. However, she isn't currently signed with a major organization at the moment.
The 34-year-old Belgian submission specialist has had success at the highest level and holds victories over former champions in Megan Anderson and Marloes Coenen. She's skilled enough to compete in Bellator or UFC's 145-pound divisions, but it's hard to imagine her beating either (Bellator champion) Julia Budd or (UFC champion) Amanda Nunes. She's had success in Invicta in the past, and their featherweight division is pretty shallow at the moment, so the upstart all-female promotion is probably Dandois best shot if she's looking to caputure a title.
