10 Doctor Who Deleted Scenes You Need To See

1. The Doctor's Cyber-Companion

As the Twelfth Doctor reminded his next incarnation during his regeneration speech, the Doctor must never be cruel or cowardly. And most importantly, they must never eat pears.

Another of the Doctor's core principles is that they must never give in, no matter how steep the odds. And that's what makes this particular Series 2 deleted scene so interesting - the Tenth Doctor appears to have thrown in the towel entirely.

Taking place in the series finale after the Cybermen have assumed control, the Doctor responds to a Cyberman's request for information with a rather bleak sentiment: run.

"There's nothing else I can do" he tells his foe. "In a few hours time, this planet will be a ball of flame. All we can do is watch it burn."

Taking this all in, the Cyberman then responds with a pretty sick burn. "You are proof that emotions destroy you."

It's unusual to see the Doctor so down on his luck, which is possibly why this scene was cut. It's also totally odd to see him invite this Cyberman into the TARDIS, so the two of them can escape.

A strange moment overall, and one best left on the cutting room floor. Check it out at 15:05 in the video below.
