10 Doctor Who Deleted Scenes You Need To See
2. You Can’t Handle The Cool
One of the highlights of The Day of the Doctor was the back-and-forth between the three versions of the Doctor featured in the story.
Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor, David Tennant's Tenth Doctor, and John Hurt's War Doctor bickered and bantered in equal measure, creating plenty of memorable moments in the process.
And guess what? We were almost granted another one.
In one deleted scene, the trio of Time Lords are being marched in chains by the royal guard, Ten and Eleven arguing all the while.
Ten questions Eleven's shoes, to which he responds with the most Eleventh Doctor line you could possibly think of: "You can't handle the cool."
John Hurt then quips that the two haven't shut up since Richmond, an excellent line from the grumpy grandpa of this episode.
It's a great moment, but if it had made the final cut, the phrase "You Can't Handle The Cool" would've been plastered on every single piece of Who merchandise for the next three years.
So maybe it's best it was deleted.
