Being a writer isn't an easy job, especially on Doctor Who.

You're constantly under pressure to come up with new characters, aliens, and locations, and you have to cram everything into a tight 45-minute package.

Surprisingly then, Moffat has admitted that he felt quite relaxed while writing Blink, stating that "I figured the pressure was off because I was writing the unpopular one without the Doctor in it."

Basically, if you didn't like Blink? Well, that's because it's a Doctor-lite story. And no Russell, you can't use that same defence for Love & Monsters.
