Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About Blink

19. The TARDIS Being Rocked Was Surprisingly Simple To Film

In the episode's grand climax, Sally and Larry finally enter the TARDIS after being pursued by a group of Weeping Angels.

There's just one problem - the Angels also want to get in. The stone assassins proceed to violently rock the TARDIS back and forth, as Sally and Larry get flung around inside.

Those interior shots were a lot easier to film than you might think. Rather than moving the set or doing anything complicated, the actors were instructed to simply throw themselves around the TARDIS.

Cue Carey Mulligan and Finlay Robertson chucking themselves around the TARDIS set in proper Star Trek fashion. The camera operator would then tilt the other way, giving the impression that the whole interior was being violently shaken.

You don't have to break the bank to produce some TV magic!
