1 Up & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 28)

2. An Ineffective Squash

Hello Evil Uno
AEW

The Dark Order bested Sonny Kiss and Brandon Cutler in a squash to close last night's Dark. Again, the right result, but again, the match was undone by a handful of clunky moments.

Grayson and Evil Uno running through their opponents quickly, efficiently, and impactfully would've been a nice tonic for the struggling group. Here, their triumph was undone by spots like Kiss hitting his split-legged moonsault then neglecting to go for the pin even after the official had dropped down for the count. That there were so many problems like this throughout the show didn't help matters.

A brutal squash match is always a hoot, as WWE continues to prove with Erick Rowan and Aleister Black on Raw. Here, once again, AEW didn't get it right.
