10 2020 Mistakes WWE Will Definitely Repeat

3. Legends Working Unwanted Matches

Goldberg Drew McIntyre 2
WWE

As the intro stated, WWE are already running with this again.

Goldberg has returned, and he'll challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at Royal Rumble. The horror outcome is that big Billy wins and everyone is "treated" to a replay of early-2020. Surely not. Surely WWE know nobody wants that.

Then again, few would openly clamour for Goldberg at all. He's a relic from the past, one who isn't going to be around long enough to appeal to a younger, emerging generation WWE will rely on in the future. Also, the former WCW's legend's prime was over twenty years ago now. The sad fact is that McIntyre is right: Goldberg isn't the same force he once was.

That won't stop his employer from bringing him back, and the same goes for any other icons of yesteryear who need a quick pay day. Perhaps the only mercy 2021 will bring here is that WWE won't be running any of those horrendous Saudi Arabian specials.
