10 "Perfect" Wrestling Feuds That Went Horribly Wrong

5. Dean Ambrose Vs. Seth Rollins

To you, this was an open goal of a programme.

To Dean Ambrose, it sucked so much sh*t that he left the company.

Actually, that isn't strictly true. The programme sucked so much sh*t that Ambrose realised it was especially bad by the standards of a terrible company that he had truly began to realise was terrible when he spent much time away from it on the shelf.

Again, this was easy. WWE had already done the hard bit by tethering Ambrose and Seth Rollins together during their time in the seminal Shield faction. They'd broken up once before, but it's wrestling. Reconciliations and splits happen all of the time. All Ambrose had to do was realise that he hadn't forgiven Rollins for the events of 2014 and was sick and tired of playing a laidback goof.

WWE instead had him play a goof, again, but this time, the goof thought that the vermin fans stunk and that Roman Reigns suffered a recurrence of leukaemia because he had to answer to "upstairs" for his role in breaking up the Shield.

Rollins was so incensed by this vile remark that, at the TLC blow-off, he made damn sure to really cinch in that opening collar-and-elbow tie-up!
