10 Absolute Worst Matches In The History Of WrestleMania

7. Melina Vs. Ashley Massaro - WrestleMania 23

Sasha Banks and Bayley were so dedicated to their dream of becoming stars in WWE that they famously penned letters in school, promising their future selves to reach stardom through intense dedication.

It's just as well the landscape changed around them, because in years gone by the only thing you needed to do to get a Women's Title match was to get your t*ts out in Playboy.

Massaro bared all and was rewarded with three minutes of non-action at WrestleMania 23. Melina was game, but as talented as she was, she could do little with Massaro. Massaro's forearms were laughably weak, but at least she didn't have to gently lean into the ropes to deliver them. Melina tried. She flipped around the ring, taking bumps from Massaro's tentative monkey flip and shaky headscissors, but such athleticism was in vain. She contorted Massaro into a bow and arrow purely for the upskirt short seconds before the finish. The match had an audience of one (hint: Jim Cornette once deemed him a "Bucky Beaver montherf*cker").

Even if the match was acceptable, it stood no chance. Vince McMahon had been shaved bald with a Bic minutes earlier. It was positioned in the death spot. It died because it was fated to die.
