10 ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE Moments From NJPW Dominion 6.9

Will Ospreay and Hiromu Takashi had virtually admitted a willingness to murder themselves and one another in order to leave Dominion with the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, following on from the former's press conference response to legitimate concerns for his health and the latter's terrifying win-at-all-costs Best Of The Super Juniors 2018 win the prior week.

On that night, Takahashi had taken a tumble down an entire arena staircase from a hurricanrana (as well as several other jaw-dropping and neck-breaking near-misses) en route to victory. Ospreay offered no reprise from the violence.

Flipping the script, the pair started quick before slowing down (for them, at least) into something resembling a catch-as-catch-can clash before easing into powerbombs, reverse 'ranas and the devastating butterfly piledriver. That they brought the match back from the exhilarating start was miraculous. Ospreay performed a charging flip dive from the entrance ramp to the floor onto Hiromu, losing the majority of the tape that surrounded his shoulder-blades in the ensuing recovery.

Both were willing to die and live up to their huge hubris. Hirmou's eventual win and celebration was in and of itself a celebration of a division reborn under such fearlessness.
