5. The Madness Of King Chris

Chris Jericho was in electric form during his programme with Kenny Omega, unlocking an inner wildman in press conferences and pre-match promos that escaped during their Wrestle Kingdom instant classic. He was defeated by the 'Best Bout Machine' on that night, but channeled his rage into victory at the second attempt with a jaw-dropping IWGP Intercontinental Championship win over Tetsuya Naito.

Beating the 'Tranquilo' out of the Champion, Jericho decked his "f*ckin' moron" of a rival from the bell, charging at him like a freight train without once looking back to see him splayed across the tracks. The visually stunning table smash early on was itself an important leveller, but Jericho's on-the-nose insanity undermined the obvious physical discrepancies between the pair.

In a career littered with moments of unfiltered excellence, Dominion was yet another slice of Jericho supremacy. Unrelenting and unwavering in his viciousness on Naito without ever letting the match border on becoming a bloody and brutal squash, 'Y2J' left gaping holes in his offence for the Champion to leap into but similarly laid enough traps to shock the world with his win.
