Will there be a return for Edge before Adam Copeland hangs the boots up forever?

Adam Copeland has said he will retire in All Elite Wrestling.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, the former multi-time WWE Champion said he had no desire to see out his career with the market leader, instead choosing to stay in his current role in AEW.

He said; That’s where I want to retire. I know that may disappoint a lot of people, but I love it there. I love the company. I love the attitude. I love the exuberance. I love the drive. I love the excitement I see from the locker room. I don’t want to go anywhere else. I’m good. I did everything I could do there (WWE) and then some. And I think they got everything out of me and then some that they could have.”

'Cope' debuted for All Elite Wrestling at WrestleDream 2023, and (as of writing) has worked almost 50 matches for the company ever since. He's competed for the World Heavyweight Championship, has held the TNT Championship and is currently one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside former Edge & Christian partner Christian Cage. The pair are set to work a dream match against the Young Bucks at Wembley Stadium when the company presents All In: London on August 30th, which very much supports Copeland's point about still having new things to do. He spent three years with WWE following his remarkable return from injury at the 2020 Royal Rumble, main eventing a WrestleMania along the way before wrapping up his run in August 2023 with a win over a Sheamus on a special edition of SmackDown at the Scotiabank Arena in his hometown of Toronto.
