10 Actors Who Should Play WWE Attitude Era Superstars In Movies
4. Zack Galifianakis As Mick Foley
Despite what you may think, this casting choice isn't just about the beard. This is Galifianakis' chance to showcase his slightly serious side without abandoning his inner weirdo. He would absolutely thrive getting into character as any of Foley's multiple personalities, likely relishing the chance to play the character-within-a-character of someone like Dude Love.
And it's also about the beard.
Of course, Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy has a sweeter side to him. He's a goofy family man, too. And Galifianakis off-putting personality seems to have softened a little as of late, making those cutesy scenes with his wife and kids a little less awkward than they may have been a few years ago.
And not to take anything away from Mick Foley as a wrestler, but this is a story about a Hardcore Legend, not a master of the mat. Relying on a mixture of camera trickery and special effects, it would be great to see Zach replicate some of the scariest moments of Foley's career, including losing part of his ear by getting tangled up in the ring ropes.
Plus, after suffering through two wildly unnecessary Hangover sequels, don't we all kind of want to see Galifianakis thrown off the top of a steel cage onto an announcer's table?
