10 AEW Stars Set For A Big Push Following All Out 2021

2. MJF

MJF All Out

MJF lost to Chris Jericho at All Out, but not without pinning his rival in their Final Fight.

As far as he knew, The Pinnacle's leader beat Jericho when Aubrey Edwards' hand hit the mat for the third time, with both parties unaware that Jericho's boot had found its way onto the bottom rope. Paul Turner's ringside monitoring and subsequent correction then forced MJF into a sudden rematch, having already undergone the adrenaline dump of thinking it was over, which he lost. Jericho saved his career by locking MJF in the Walls.

MJF will paint this as an ill-gotten gain. As was the case after All Out 2020, where Jon Moxley cheated to defeat Maxwell in their World Title match, the 25-year-old is going to be incessant in his complaining. This will immediately undo any momentum lost through the Jericho defeat, which was negligible in the first place.

In having MJF lose to Jericho in this specific fashion, AEW handed him months of new material. He is effectively taking Jericho's spot here, regardless of All Out's base outcome, and will become an even bigger focus of AEW programming as he rallies against perceived injustice.
